Babie Birdies
Wee are no longer breeding pet birds.
Wee have done so for the past 15 years and have decided to retire all our breeders.
They have made a lot of pretty babies for us over the years and now it is time for
them to enjoy the easy life. Wee have kept all our breeder pairs and are spoiling
them rotten letting them enjoy retirement to the fullest! Wee have however left all
our pictures and information about babie birdies on our site.

Taylor was a 14 week old Grey
sold by a pet store to a man who had never handfed a baby bird. At 15 weeks, he had a burn
hole in his crop and chest. At 18 weeks he died in the arms of the man who bought him,
snuggled under his chin and finally free of pain.
This has got to stop. How
many babies have to die before the sale of unweaned babies stops?
The only way this can be
stopped is for the buying public to refuse to buy an unweaned baby bird.
Please buy your new companion
fully and bountifully weaned from a quality pet store or from a breeder who sells only
weaned babies.
Taylor's Story
Birds require daily care from
you. Water dishes must be washed and fresh water given daily, sometimes 3 or 4 times
daily if they dunk their food in it or go to the bathroom in their bowl. Fresh seed
and pellets must be given daily along with fresh fruits and veggies. Cages must be
kept clean for good health. Most of all, birds need love and attention from their
owners every day. These are creatures that form strong bonds with us.
If neglected, they become depressed, lonely, bored and develop behaviors that you are sure
not to like such as screaming and biting. Please take this into consideration when
looking to buy a pet bird. Some birds can live up to 30 years or more. You're
making a life long commitment to them. They are beautiful creatures with feelings
and deserve nothing less that the best care we can give them.
