Red Flanks are wonderful little birds with a clownish attitude!  They are nectar eating birds and also enjoy many fruits, especially the juicy kind.  They cannot survive in tempatures under 50 degrees.  They are tropical birds with bold colored feathers.  When in flight the yellow in their tail shows with other colors and they look like a flying rainbow.   Beautiful!!!
